Our story
The Field was founded in 2012, by Claire Sheppard and Laura Brooks who met in 2004, when they both worked at 2CV Research
After 11 years as partners they have gone their seperate ways in business, but remain firm friends.
2023 brings in a new era of the Field, focussing on Fieldwork only to the same high standard of the last 11 years, looking forward to the next decade.

The FOUNDER
Claire Sheppard
I have over 20 years experience in Market Research working at Viewpoint, Fieldworks (Quadrangle) and as Head of UK Qual Field at 2CV research. I love the fact that we get to work on such a range of topics and am especially interested in doing research that helps society.
I studied English and Politics at the University of Sunderland and have also served my time in retail and bar work. Outside of work, I am a parent to a little boy Joe, married to Steve of Sheps Sports Massage and have a little rescue dog Brienne. I’m a cancer survivor and a community campaigner living in Peckham, South London.
I’m also a political activist for the Green Party and have stood in 5 elections in 5 years, including the Greater London Assembly 2021 where I came second as candidate for Lambeth & Southwark, I’m currently the Green GLA Lambeth & Southwark candidate for 2024 and am also 9th on the London LIst for the GLA.
